Responsibility
Did you know that the United States produces more than 250 million tons of waste each year? We at TideWater are trying to do our part to decrease this waste in an effort to protect and enhance the earth. It is our goal to create beautiful physical environments safely and efficiently. Under the guidance of our LEED certified consultant, Patrick Shay, we are proud to say that we have adopted the following practices:• Plants and shrubs that are suited to the surrounding climates, promoting slow growth and have a drought tolerance, are offered and installed when requested
- Rain Sensors and Advance Technology Irrigation Systems are recommended and installed when requested to decrease water waste
- Drip-lines and low-pressure heads are installed when requested in place of high-volume rotors to decrease water use and maintain proper coverage
Monthly system checks are routine to provide maintenance and oversight to prevent malfunctioning or broken equipment - Fully organic fertilization and pest programs are available and explored as options
- Integrated Pest Management and Plant Health Care Best Management Practices are always followed
- Recycled products are given preferred consideration when purchasing office supplies
- Toner cartridges are returned to the manufacturer for recycling

Safety
TideWater believes in a safe work environment for our employees and customers. All locations keep a copy of our Safety Manual, written by Irwin C. Pat Adams, a Certified Safety Professional, and owner of Adams Safety and Loss Control Services, onsite to answer and safety questions that may arise. The topics covered include an introduction to safety for our employees, followed by procedures in an event of an emergency, our Hazard Communication Program, Training for our weekly meetings, OSHA policies and procedures, and our Maintenance Program.
