Christmas promotions are starting earlier each year. This is not surprising since many retail businesses depend on the fourth quarter to make them profitable for the entire year. Here is a short list of holiday decorating tasks to start thinking about right now:

Here are a couple of things to consider when thinking about themes:- What colors do you want to use
- Victorian burgundy and forest green?
- Americana Coca-cola red and white?
- Something different entirely?
- What characters (if any) do you want to focus on?
- Santa Claus
- Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
- None?
- Snowman
- Snow-woman?
- What other other elements do you want to include
- lights
- signs
- greenery
- What colors do you want to use
- Check power source – is there enough available for your decorations. If not, now might be the perfect time to call an electrician to get ready.
- Do you need to order new decorations? Many decoration suppliers run sales that end September 1st.
- Who will hang the decorations? Do you need to hire staff specifically for this purpose?
